Awakening Business Solutions was birthed after I returned to USA from New Zealand in 2005.

When I immigrated to New Zealand in 1993 with my husband and son, we ended up staying for twelve years. While living in New Zealand I started a publishing company and self published two books. I lived in an intentional community, helped organize week long women's gatherings and began facilitating team building and leadership training seminars for businesses. I began creating processes and programs for these seminars and events.

After I graduated from college with a BFA, I ran a pottery business for seven years. I knew nothing about business at that time, and like many artists I was following a passion without the business skills. This was my first awareness of how passion and stratgey need to work together.

I helped my ex-husband open a retail bicyle shop  in 1980, and from him I learned how to be a manager, buyer, marketer and money manager all in one.

I received a masters degree in counseling and in 1984 became a family therapist. While in New Zealand I began to work in the field  of professional development working with organizations, non-profits, and corporations, translating all I learned from working with families into the business model.

I began my present business in New Zealand and realized that I could help business owners with tools, strategies and processes to grow their passion into a sustainable business. I feel blessed that I have found my passion and love my business as well.

I now live in Portland, Oregon with my husband, Wayne.

Our plan is to eventually be in New Zealand for part of each year.
