Growth • Vision • Creativity
You are someone who has been committed to personal growth, counseling, and done lots of inner personal work and now you are wanting to dig deeper into your soul.
You likely feel very done with cognitive therapy that just keeps you in your head!
When you paint, draw or vision you open a doorway to a different vibration where your own intuition lives.
Art and creativity if used in a mindful way will trigger your vagus nerve and bring you so much peace and awareness.
Creativity offers Freedom from stress and unrest.
You might be feeling too much anxiety, worry or fear. Many of you know all about your childhood issues and you are tired of talking about them. You can change that story and move on.
Do you often:
• Have trouble staying asleep.
• Focus on unhappy past events
• Get headaches and digestive issues
You just want to accept yourself and feel calm, centered and in harmony.
When you pick up a brush and paint or draw, something magical happens and you feel a shift, like talking a big breath and your mental energies slow down.
When you do art or create you unleash what’s going on in your unconscious. A doorway to your intuition appears and you feel in unity with your soul.
This is what art for healing is all about.Your intuition becomes stronger and you feel centered and more insightful. From that place the struggles fade away and your own inner wisdom emerges.
You don’t need to be an artist. Its more about being open and willing.
You aren’t making art to hang on a wall. You are making art for renewal and insight.
Painting mandalas is one of many powerful ways to paint for healing.

I created mandala coloring books at one time and gave them to people in hospitals along with colored pens. What they did was powerful! Words can be added from feelings that emerge.
I have been offering Art for Healing (aka art therapy) for 30 years to people of all ages but mainly adults. Often it’s so powerful it feels like magic.
Here is an example of one women I worked with doing Art for Healing. She was a professional women who had done years of counseling for childhood trauma and neglect. She had two toddles and didn’t want her trauma to affect her parenting. She noticed sometimes hearing her mother’s voice when talking to her girls and it made her cringe. In her first session she drew an image of her own childhood family at age 5. An old memory appeared and she was shocked by how many emotions were still there.
Over many months she did many pictures; some with only colors and a few words. She began getting her power back and living more fully in the present. In our last session she put all her pictures in order and could see how she felt healed from the trauma and so much more empowered.
Art for healing allows people to share something profound that might otherwise remain hidden.
My role is to be a witness and supporter. I do have training in counseling, and spent years as a therapist, But now I see myself as more of a mentor coach as you walk the path to hearing your soul’s message.
I hold the space for you to connect with me and to unleash your inner self through creativity.

What do we actually do in an Art for Healing session?
We meet on Zoom unless you are local. I will suggest how to create a small art and ritual space for yourself at home. It might be your kitchen table with a candle lit. It needs to be a quiet space away from your family.
We always begin with a very short ritual to help you tune into what issue or challenge you want to focus on. I often suggest some objects to bring- something from nature or on your shelf that speaks to you. Sometimes I will play calming music.
From that focus awareness I will suggest and guide you forward. I sometimes do my own art while you work on yours. Many people find this supportive.
After you complete your painting or drawing or collage I will ask you to share and sometimes will suggest what you can work on during the week. If your drawing is not feeling done you can continue working on it.
Each session is about 60 minutes. Fees are based on sliding scale $97- 187 per session. It’s also possible to share your session with someone else of your choosing and you both create and share. We can talk more about that in our consult session.

Some people start Art for Healing sketchbooks. I did that a few years ago and now whenever an issue appears I open my sketchbook at start a new page. I never know what will appear but its always so calming.
